Roadmap

# What's built, what's next, and what comes after.

Aswan is in development. This page says plainly where things stand, so you can judge it for yourself.

Where things stand

September 2026

-   **Built.** The engine underneath: units and conversions, price levels, tax, and English and Spanish throughout.
    
-   **Live.** The system we use to set up a new yard, its users and its licences.
    
-   **Building now.** Office sign-in with two-step verification is built and in testing, not yet open to yards. Next come the back office screens, then the register and the QuickBooks sync.

    ## Counter sales and will-call pickup, with the back office behind them.

    -   Fast ticket entry by keyboard, scanner or touch
    -   Customer receipts and yard tickets
    -   Cash, check, card and charge to account
    -   Keeps selling offline, card aside
    
    ### Products and inventory
    
    -   Several selling units per product
    -   Purchasing and receiving
    -   Inventory by yard location
    
    ### Customers and accounts
    
    -   Price levels and negotiated prices
    -   House accounts with credit limits
    -   Resale exemption certificates
    
    ### Quotes and orders
    
    -   Quotes with full revision history
    -   Sales orders with deposits, for future pickup
    
    ### Back office
    
    -   Daily close and cash reconciliation
    -   Sales, margin and inventory reports
    -   QuickBooks Online, both ways
    -   Stripe payments on your own account
    -   English and Spanish

2.  Next
    
    ## Delivery.
    
    The first release is counter sales and will-call pickup. Delivery comes next: scheduling, delivery windows and fees, and assigning trucks and drivers.
    
    A big share of contractor business goes out on a truck, and we know it. Delivery is planned as the next release, not a someday item.
    
3.  Later
    
    ## On the list, not yet scheduled.
    
    ### Selling by weight
    
    Scale tickets and selling by the ton. The units model already includes weight, so this arrives as a feature, not a rebuild.
    
    ### Customer portal
    
    A place for your customers to see their account, pay open tickets and reprint a ticket or receipt themselves, without calling the counter.
    
    ### More card processors
    
    Aswan launches on Stripe. If your yard needs to keep another processor, tell us which one; the yards that ask decide which comes first.
    
    ### Blending
    
    Some yards blend their own soils and mulches. That deserves a module of its own, not a workaround.

## Want a say in what comes first?

We are building Aswan with a small group of landscape supply yards. If your current system makes you work around it, tell us how your counter really runs. Early access yards shape the first release and are first on it when it ships.
