Pricing

Priced by the register, not by the clerk.

Aswan is licensed two ways, and neither one grows when you hire for spring.

POS stations

One for each register at your counter. Every clerk on a licensed station signs in with their own PIN, and there is no limit on how many clerks you have.

Office users

One for each person who works in the back office: products, prices, customers, reports and settings. Deactivate someone and their seat is free again straight away.

For example

Three registers, two people in the office and twelve seasonal hands is three stations and two office users. The seasonal crew costs nothing.

Questions

What yards ask first.

Do I have to change card processors?

Card payments launch on Stripe, set up as your own Stripe account from inside Aswan. If there is a processor your yard needs to keep, tell us which one when you sign up. Other processors are on the roadmap, and the yards that ask decide which comes first.

How are card payments priced?

Stripe bills its processing fees to your own Stripe account, so they show up on your own statement. Before you commit to anything, we will walk you through the whole cost, software and card processing together.

What hardware do I need?

A PC at each register, plus the usual counter gear: a receipt printer, a cash drawer that opens from the printer, a barcode scanner and a Stripe card reader. If you already have a printer and drawer, tell us the models and we will check them.

Do I need QuickBooks Online?

Aswan is built to work alongside QuickBooks Online, which keeps your receivables and your books. If your yard uses something else, tell us. That is exactly the kind of thing early access is for.

What happens when the internet goes down?

The counter keeps selling. Cash, check and charge to account all work offline, and tickets sync when the connection comes back. Card payments need a connection, and the register says so plainly while it is down.

Can my crew use it in Spanish?

Yes. Every screen and help article is in English and Spanish. Units stay the same in both, so a cubic yard is CY on the ticket either way.

Where is my data kept?

Each yard gets its own database, separate from every other yard's, on Cloudflare's network. Card numbers are never stored in Aswan at all.

Early access

Tell us about your yard, and we'll talk numbers.

We are building Aswan with a small group of landscape supply yards. If your current system makes you work around it, tell us how your counter really runs. Early access yards shape the first release and are first on it when it ships.
